I've got a tad over 450 miles on mine -- picked it up the last week of June.

Yep -- it's a "Garage Queen".....

I'll be at 17K shortly and just feel this engine is "hitting it's stride". I'm shooting for 300,000 with this engine before a rebuild or swap out.

Yeah, man your filling a hole that isnt there. 30k isnt anything. Rebuild engine?? Honestly wtf are you talking about? If you've railed your truck that hard at the 70k mark then you shoulda bought a SD.

Meaning you got only 50k on your engine? Depending on your length of ownership thats a warranty issue. I cant even imagine blowing out an engine at 50k and hell I drive dirt every day.

You must be thinking of a 302 or 300I6, because this 5.4 will tick/knock so loud by 150k miles that it would be time to retire. My work truck is a 99 5.4 with just over 100k miles and knocks so loud its embarrasing. These mod motors just arent meant to last, sorry. And my work truck has been taken care of meticulously.

Little over 10,000 on the XLT 4x4. Thats including a trip to Georgia and another one to south Indiana. I bet I would have 8k on it had I not traveled with it.

The 04 XL has over 44,000 miles on it now. All of which is local highway driving except for 2 trips to DC.
