Need help bypassing DVD safeguard on AVIC-N1
Im not getting much help in the Audio/Video Forum so I thought some of you guys might be able to help. Its not for me to watch, but my daughter in the backseat. The guy that installed it said he grounded the lead for the parking brake, but when I first put the DVD in it says that the lead is not connected properly. It will play, but when I get over 5mph this warning pops up and blocks the screen. When I stop it goes away and the DVD is viewable again. Is there anyway to make it so that I can play DVDs at all time or did he do something wrong?

The Pioneer is parking brake and speed sensitive.
When I looked at the D1, it had to be hooked into the vehicle speed sensor(VSS), parking brake, and it has it own GPS module.
So if you bypass one, you still have another 2 to go. If you have navigation.
You'll probably have to look and see if it's hooked into the VSS.
