Fogs off with high beams

I was wondering if anyone happens to know of a way to make the fog lights stay on when you turn your high beams on. I know there has to be others out there that ore wondering the same thing but does anyone know how to fix it?

I followed the directions (awesome site)

Should I be concerned over the gauge of the wire used to make the jump? I used some stranded 14 gauge, seems to work great, but I don't want anything to fry! Any opinions?

Wire gauge won't really matter since all you are doing is powering a relay. Relays require very little current, whereas the lighting circuit on the other side of the relay has a lot of current.

Some one told me that it is actually illegal to have more than 4 lamps on at any given time. That is why the automakers set them up to turn off when high-beams are on.

Anyone know if there is any truth to this statement?

It's not four lamps, it's the amount of candlepower, you are only allowed a max of 85W, anything more is for off-road use.

In Missouri it is illegal to have more than 4 lights on at one time but I would think any LEO with common sense wouldn't write you up unless you failed to dim to oncoming traffic.
