Well still NOTHING.....I got a letter from the BBB asking me for all my repair orders which I faxed over today. I called and got no answer and still no call back. He told me on tuesday it usually takes a week to hear from Ford. Ive made my decision...I am giving them until next friday the 20th. If I still have no answer or havent heard of any forward movement to get this resolved I will contact my lawyer and get him involved. By next friday, more than enough time would have elapsed for this whole process. Im tired of being the nice guy and getting screwed.

Once again, as soon as I know something, this will be the first place I post to let you know. Good luck with getting your check and your new vehicle.

Turilla...Whats up??????

Update

Finally heard back from Ford and the BBB. Ford told the BBB that even with all the problems I've had with the truck, they feel the truck is in good shape and they don't feel a buyback is necessary. They offered me a full reimbursement of my 5 year extended warranty, place a new 5 year Extended Service Plan on the truck at no charge to me. That along with the promise of a new rear-end and a Ford Engineer to investigate the idle condition seems to be their olive branch to end this.

Wish it ended there. Told the BBB I wanted to talk to Ford directly about this to get all the details, finally got my Ford case handler on the phone and was led in circles. Will only get a new rear-end if the Service Manager & Ford Engineer authorize it; which they say it doesn't need. Ford told me the dealership issues the reimbursement check, dealership tells me Ford issues the check and I keep getting phone calls from some moron at the dealership who thinks I want to buy a new Explorer.

Going to tell them to forget the offer and go for arbitration, make more calls to BBB and Ford tomorrow. If I took their offer they have until end of next week to get their stories straight, schedule repair of the truck and issue the check which I know won't get done.

Turilla,That sucks .What to do want ot get out of this?I m still waiting for my letter from ford and then the check.the dealership told me yesterday that they should get the check from ford by the middle of next week, then i need to turn truck in to them.I m am just waiting for this letter thats has everything on it so i know if i agree or disagree with the amount that ford is refunding me.I have another truck line up.Acutally 2 of them.I am deciding between a 03 f 150 crew cab lariet with only 26000 miles on it the dealership want 18,000$$ for it or i can get a 06 tundra dbl cab for 23,000$$.So I am just waiting on ford before i can go the next step.Ford is do a RAV on me whatever that means...good luck.Keep us posted.what do u think on the two?

Common denominator here for all of us....WAITING for Ford...Waiting for the BBB.

Is there anyone out there that looks out for the consumer?

Besides all the problems Ive had, I must say I still love Ford, therfore that would be my decision. I think the Toyota is a fine truck, I just dont like it.

To be honest, if I get a buyback, I am seriously considering an older F150. My 99 F150 was the best truck I've ever owned. Some days I wish I never got rid of it. So of course , like always I drug out my answer to your question...My vote is for the F150 over the Tundra.

Monday's a holiday. I doubt anyone at Ford is working. Looks like it's gonna be Tuesday before you get anything resolved. Good luck though!

Yea i made a decision.I may get bash for thisi but thats ok.I think i m going with the tundra dbl cab.I did find 2 03 f 150 on the dealership but they are not willing to work with the numbers with me. the one truck is a 03 supercrew lariet with 26,000 miles and they want 22000 for it and they will not come off that any.then there another 01 crew lariet with 29000 miles on it they want 19500 for it again they will not work on the numbers.and since i will be out a truck in a few days i thinks its going to be the tundra double cab for 23000..Did hear back from ford look waiting for them to correct the numbers and the milage figure.they stopped my milage at 2240 and charging me 467.00 for the milage useage.

Thats great man. Glad its all working out for you. Me on the other hand...Still no word. I call the BBB almost everyday just to get the same old answer..."nope, haven't heard from Ford yet..just gotta wait 'til they call me" I'm really tired of this answer. I asked him if we could do anything to expedite this process,,he said there's nothing he can do or nobody to call. He did, however tell me I can close the case and get a lawyer at anytime. Thats not the answer I wanted, but unfortunaltely, unless I get an answer this week, I will be doing just that. The guy at the BBB did tell me he anticipated hearing from Ford this week..I have my doubts...
