What changed about factory windows...?
Im still looking into changing out my little SPAL power window motors for the factory or A1 electric life kit. Id much rather get factory motors and it seems like it might be cheaper because they are only $98 at fordgenuineparts.com. I was originally confused if that included the regulator or if it was just the motor but I called and they said it was both. Now I only have one more question before I order them. It says:
"WINDOW MOTOR, F150, Front, Right, w/o Super Cab, To 12/15/03 2004 $131.48 $98.61
Includes Window Motor.
WINDOW MOTOR, F150, Front, Right, w/o Super Cab, From 12/15/03 04-05 $131.48 $98.61
Includes Window Motor. "
The a1electric.com site said that Ford switched from a scissor style regulator to a cable driven one. My manual regulators are definately cable driven but the date on my door says 11/03. Does the switch not apply to manual windows and did the bolt pattern or anything else change about them? I hope this question makes sense, I just dont want to order these regulators and motors and not have them fit because they dont accept returns. Thanks!
