Dodge does the exact same thing... They paint the truck and then affix some vinyl decals for all of the special badging on their Daytona edition Rams.

I know a few places that could do that for you.

The main advantage here is that it is completely reversable at point in time. You can even order spares in case of road debri chips, etc...

I had someone make a few decals for my motorcycles when I used to ride. They looked exactly like paint, but when I went to sell the bike, I took them off to get a better price.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions guys....hey where are these places you know of that could do the vinyl. I agree I think the vinyl looks more muscle car to me as well. I will mess around and draw some Magnums on this. Who would make a 20" Magnum -American Racing??

Wrong bolt pattern, but here are some 18" Magnums.

If you go with the vinyl, they are a lot cheaper to remove if you get tired of the look or want to sell the truck and the buyer does not like the stripes.

The six lug pattern wont work well with a magnum (5 spoke) design, i think. Smok][n's wheels would look good i think with that theme.

I'm thinking I'd paint the stripes in flat black. Heck, you're going to have to paint the hood anyways -- just do it all at the same time and it would probably end up being a "wash" price-wise.

I love the concept -- looks cool!

Boss F-150 Revised!

I think I made some good updates, went with some black out wheels to call back to the muscle car era, and added a shaker hood, and shaved the door handles. Do you guys like better now. Damn it I would have to get rid of my 20"s I have on there now, but may be worth it....

Looks awesome! I would go with the vinyl graphics that way they can be easily removed if you decide to change the look. Shaved handles aren't really my thing. I would go with the LT ones, but if that's what you like then more power to you.

The shaker hood addition looks good, but Im not feeling the blackout rims. It most likely will be very costly if you go with the shaved door handles, wont you then need a whole new paint job?

Ok, you HAVE to find some Magnum wheels or some Torq-Thrust look alikes not the 6 spoke Thrust though, I think they look bad. With your overall theme it would look better than some aftermarket big wheels in my opinion. The black parts need to be painted flat black, the idea behind vinyl is good but I believe the paint will look better and not just some stickers put on there. Stay with the Shaker hood, chrome hood pins, blacked out grill. Leave the door handles but paint them to match. The whole hood can't be painted black though, only the raised portion, where the hood drops down to meet the fender has to be the base color.
