Angry Somebody hit my truck

Somebody hit my truck and took off. The damage is not major, but it is damage on a truck with 5000 miles . I really do not care about the money now, if I found out who did it I would give them the hardest kick in the ***** they have ever received. It might have been my young punk neighbor. The paint matches the color on his car, but his car is such a POS that I cannot tell if there is any damage to it. I guess I am too nice of a person to flat out blame him for it when I have no good proof. Next time I see him I will at least ask him if he knows anything about it. It could have happened on last weekends roadtrip when I was in a tight parking lot. The way the light distorts around the curve of a bumper, it could have been there for several days without me noticing.

hey man, I feel your pain and anger. I got 3300 miles on my new truck, and I would dread the feeling if something happened to it. On the other hand, as much as we love/like these trucks, we must remember they are machines, and can be replaced and repaired. I for one, am glad you weren't there when it happened. You might be in jail for knocking somebody's teeth out!!

Anyway, it is just the bumper, get it repaired, and from now on try to watch out for the close parking. I park out of the way to get away from other vehicles. The lowers the chances of something banging me, but it still can happen. The only way our precious trucks can be really safe is to carry them in our pockets! That won't and can't happen, so we do the next best thing.

Luck to ya..

Welcome to the club. I just got done spending $500 to repair my rear bumper after someone hit it and left a wonderful dent. Then, "bless humanity!" this morning I discovered someone flicked a hot cigarette butt onto my nice tonneau cover and left a nice f*#@in hole in the cover. We spend $30k on a truck, try and keep it washed, lookin' nice, and inconsiderate people just screw it all up. Sorry for ranting. This just happened this morning and I saw your post. I'm sorry for your misfortune, but believe me! I know how it feels.

Actually, I would have been fine with it had I been there. I have done stuff like that before. (sh)It happens. I know that. It irks me more that he left the scene than the fact that he hit my truck.

I know how that goes, I had 3 or 4 eggs hit my truck but I busted out their back window with a Maglite.

PS: They had a cover on their truck so I got the Maglite back!

Gray - that's never fun to deal with....good thing (hopefully) it's just the bumper and doesn't involve any body repair/repainting (aftermarket paint just never holds up as well as the factory paint and will age more rapidly).

Man the cigarette thing - that would seriously make me mad - that's more of a "cavalier" non-caring move........irrtates the he!! out of me when inconsiderate people think their little "facade" is more important than treating other folks decently or doing the right thing.....just yesterday a woman in a minivan held up everyone in the drive through line messing around with her kids and not paying attention to what she was doing - or the 6 cars behind her.....then she FINALLY takes her order drives up 10 feet and stops and begins messing around with the kids again.....she was blocking the entire entry/exit area - had people stopped in a busy lane trying to turn into the restaurant and held up all of us behind her.....didn't even have the consideration to pull into a parking space and deal with her kids.....I sat behind her for a couple of more minutes then got out and asked her (loudly) to please have consideration for the rest of us and pull over so she wasn't blocking the entire driveway!! What in the world makes people so arrogant and selfish that they think they can inconvenience the rest of us whenever they please????? People have been having kids for quite some time now - get over it - and don't use them as an excuse to be selfish to everyone else around you!! Whew - much better now - off the rant box....

Man, I was expecting to see a pile of mangled metal. That's just a scratch. I know it still bothers you and would me too. I just have a little different view since this happened to my truck.

It was 2 1/2 months old when this happened. Woman cut accross the hwy right in front of me. I was going like 45 MPH and had no chance to stop.

Well, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one with a total tool for a neighbor.

This guy has a 16-yr old boy (or future incarcerated moron) and a 14-yr old girl (steet walker) that he takes absolutely NO responsibility for. The girl is dropped off & picked up by her 18+ yr old boyfriend at all hours of the night (during the week as well as the weekend).

The boy smokes pot in the back yard and his father pays him for chores in "dimebags."

I'm just waiting to buy out his house and plow the **** down...

Sorry to hear about your truck. I hate that kind of crap (especially when it happens at home).
