Just thought I would check in, have been lurking on these forums for some time. Well yesterday me and the wife found a 2004 FX4 SCAB, Red, grey leather captain seats, flow thru console, bedliner... pretty much just they way we wanted it. It only had alittle over 13k on the odometer, and the cost difference over a new one kinda sealed the deal for me. I have owned alot of F-150's and 250's in my time, and I got to say this is by far the best truck that I have ever drove. Our other vehicles are a Cadillac Eldorado (wife) and a fairly modified Mustang Cobra (my mid-life crisis) And we enjoy the comforts of the truck over them.
Are their any issues that I need to look at, being that the 2004 is a first run vehicle? I have checked here and other than spark plugs, Anything that I should be aware of. I want to make sure I hit up everything I can while it is still under warranty. I did hand compute the first tank of gas, that was about 50/50 city-highway and I came out with 16.3mpg, which from what I have read on these forums is sum what amazing. And before you ask, Same gas station, same pump, and I verified mile traveled on my gps.
