Gun rack mounted on the inside of roof

When I was hunting I saw a older model Ford with this , I was wondering if anybody knows of one for the 04s .I would think that there would be one for the new track that we have ,or if it can be screwed into the the track support .??? THANKS

I think that would be cool if they made them that actually worked like an accessory to the ford overhead rails. It would be nice to be able to put a gun or even my bow up there. Might hang down too low though.

I bought some gun slings from NWTF that ties around the headrest and clips under the back of the front seat. Each front seat has a sling. Your gun barrel slides in one and the butt goes in the other. It does the job of keeping your gun from being pointed at someone and not getting stepped on!

Wrong. If the gun is stowed in an approved case unloaded, you will not be violating any law that I know of when talking about long-guns. Now if you leave rounds in the firearm, then you should not even own it. It's idiots like that that give the rest of us a bad name.

Might be wrong but I dont think they could say anything to you for just havin it layin behind your seat. I think the "concealed" part only comes into effect when its clear you tried to hide it. I've had my shotgun/shells and hunting vest behind my seat since Nov. 1st, thats how everybody around here does it, cops here dont care they've got other stuff to worry about.

The only reason I ever take my guns out of my truck is because I have to go to school. I'v recently been looking at places to store my guns in my vehicle. I'm thinking about this thing that you hang on your headrest and it hangs behind your seat and you put the gun in the pouches. I like the overhead thing but I have the rail system in my truck. There was also a storage box you could put under your back seat that you could put a gun or two in but it's like 150 dollars and way overpriced.

Wrong. I have seen the prosecutor file charges and win cases on such cases. Had a guy stopped after a disturbance with a family member, had a long rifle fixed to the headliner up by the windshield. Charged and convicted.
If you are just stopped for a traffic violation probably not going to even think twice about a gun in a case in the back seat. Was told by the prosecutor that if the officer can not see the weapon from a normal observation into the vehicle it is concealed.

everyone is wrong and right. gun regs vary by state. SC is very strict on handguns ( ie 3 months and 8 hour course to get CWP) yet very leniant on long guns. We leave them loose with ammo behind our seats (unloaded of course)
GA - couldnt give a damn about the CWP ( takes about an hour) yet I've been hassled more than a few times about my shotguns being in the truck and not in the toolbox.

that said. no cop i have ever dealt with on any of my trips in the SE would say a word about a locked gun.

Yeah, maybe I did not make myself completely clear on this. Handguns are in a totally different catagory, but long guns are completely accepted if they are in the following condition. First of all, if you get pulled over for some reason, you SHOULD state to the officer that you have a firearm in the vehicle with you first. If the long gun is in a locked lockable case unloaded away from the ammo, you are OK in most areas (rural) with the exception of some of the NY, NJ, CA, and DC areas. Where I grew up in rural Ohio, things did not matter much the local law enforcement community, but that does not mean that it was completely legal. Someone is saying that "after a domestic dispute" the cops were after him. Well, yes. Whoever this was is just asking for more trouble in that case. Concealed carry permits (handguns) are usually not honored from state to state, and this will lend itself to trouble. Just two years ago in CO the state decided to honor CWPs from county to county eliminating alot of confusion. Handguns are just a sticky situation no matter how you look at it. As long as the criminal community is thriving with the use of illegal firearms, you can be assured that the handgun will be a hotly debated topic.

Sorry guys, almost hijacked it. :o I think that my neighbor just installed one in his Chevy. I will try to get some information about it later. The only problem may be the stupid rail system.

Pretty sure this is the one:
