Whoa, I must of been out of it.

I thought you were trying to say that my "stickers" need to go even though I don't have any.

Buy the blocks someone who has removed them from under their 4X4. Make sure you get the 4X4 u-bolts with them. Cheap, safe and genuine Ford.

Where did you get those shackles and how much were they? Are you having any problems with squeaking?

The 4x4 u-bolts are ~ 2" longer, but have enough threads that you shoud be fine.

I have a 4X4. Threads are a little over an inch past nuts now. Will they be OK?

I have a 2005 F150 STX 4x2. I already have a 2" autospring on the front. The truck sits almost perfectly level. I like the look of it without my trailer attached. When I load my trialer, the frontend is higher than the back because of the load. That is why I thought of the 1" rear block. But maybe I should just leave it alone.
I'm with ya on that, I was in the same position. My solution was some 1.5" aluminum blocks (made by Rancho for a F250, and I modified the holes/notches slightly so they fit perfect. Then I ended up adding Firestone airbags cause even with the 1.5" block, the trailer weighed it down too much. Now I control the ride height to whatever I want it to be, no air pressure with no load, or more air pressure with heavy load. I got pics in my sig.

I am sure that someone makes a decent block that isn't ghetto that you don't have to modify. A block is a block though, most important thing is the notches and holes so it sits in position and cannot shift, even when you jump your truck . I never changed my shocks, and I didn't notice any change in ride quality.

Actually just went through the same thing about a month ago. With no load or trailer, I liked the way my truck sits. Put a load or a trailer and it squats. I researched all the options, lift blocks, aals, helper springs, etc. Decided to go with the Firestone air bags. Glad I did. About $250. Simple install and adjustable. When I pul a trailer or haul a load, I can fill them up to where I want it. Not to say the other options are not good one, just my opnion. I would do it again.

Never mind. It's a 21mm. ProComp shim kit arrived today. It has 8, 1/4" thick plates. You can stack ea. side from 1/4" to 1". Got U-bolts made w/nuts & washers for $41. Gonna tackle it this Fri.. Just wondering if I "have" to unbolt shocks. Kit says yea, but don't see why?

ProComp kit was a piece of cake to install & worked GREAT! Check the pics & see for yourself. I,m about 1/2" higher in back(than the front) now & that is perfect. Should set just right w/my 7'X12' enclosed m/c trailer.
