04-05 PreRunners

Has anyone seen or set up there 04-05 2WD F-150s as a PreRunner. I am a BIG fan of PreRunners and since they are not as big on the North East Coast I figured you guys could post some pics and info about them. I am trying to get myself to spend the $$$$$ on Kings new kit.

Thanks guys

I didn't notice you post, my bad. I mentioned it before but Tuff Country is working with JD to mass produce the kit which will probably make it cheaper.

Hehe, no problem, I was "bitey" this morning when I made my response...I should have bit my tongue.

That's great to hear about mass production of the kits, however, the install doesn't seem to doable yourself, especially when it comes to the 4wd...but time will tell.

That JD Fab lift with the flared glass fenders is just incredible in my opinion...perfect stance and look for the truck.

That is a sick set-up , does anyone now if the rear suspension is included in that kit, that cage is sweet. Is JDFab. the only ones making long travel PreRunner style suspension kits. I am surprised Camburg or Kartek hasnt come out with anything yet(if they didnt come out with it yet).
Thanks for the link guys, I appreciate it

Well yes and no. I talked with Camburg a few months back, and they were working on the 2WD lift, not sure if it was considered long travel or not...but they were not intending on doing a 4WD version which is what I need.

The rear cage is not included on either I don't believe. These trucks are still pretty new, so I wouldn't expect too much too soon on them as far as pre-runner type setups only because there isn't enough demand yet. They sure do look sweet though!

Rear suspension is not included. IMO the rear is little overkill if you want to keep it a dd. I would get Deaver leafs with King's in the rear and keep the bed functional.

I think they would have to alter the kit a little to mass produce it. It would need to be completely bolt-on.

Total Chaos is working on a kit as well.

I kinda figured that the rear set up didnt come with it, it was worth a try though.
Where can you find some fiberglass fenders for 05s? How much weight would you be knocking off by getting fiberglass fenders?

I agree, it just looks cool. Even though I think you could make a cage and still have enough room for a stack of full sheets of plywood or whatever. Its more for the look though .

Dude, I don't know where you've got that impression but cages are hardly for the "look" they're for people who PUSH the limits of their trucks in every instance I've seen.
