N00b here.....

Hello guys.

Just bought an 06 STX Flareside a couple of weeks ago. So far the mods have been tint all around and a bedmat

To me the engine sounds louder than I expected a new truck to sound like.... the best way I can describe it is like a diesel truck. Is this normal?

TIA

Welcome and congrats ...
Black trucks look so nice when they are clean.
It's keeping it clean thats the problem.
Good Luck...

Finally! A newbie who knows how to post pictures!
That diesel sound slowly fades away as the miles pour on (at least mine has).
Nice truck!

Enjoy the new ride -- if you think it's loud now, wait till you install your aftermarket exhaust!

Yes, but still doesn't know how to post subject titles that are actually descriptive of the question being asked.

Very nice looking ride - really like the flaresides. Since you were looking at '06s, do you know if they're offering the 5.4L in the STX this year? When I bought my '04 the dealer said it wasn't an option, but could be in years to come.

I don't believe they do. As far as posting pics I have close to 20K posts on mustangworld.com so I have had plenty of practice

Nice stang... I spent a lot on my old one too, but it was on repairs not mods.

Hahahaha!!
