Nitto Terra Grapplers performance on snow..
If anyone is considering purchasing the Nitto Terra Grapplers and is wondering how they perform in snow I can add the following.
On my return trip home to Ohio from Mike T's. Friday, the first 100 or so miles from Covington Va. to North of Beckley W. Va. was on packed snow as it had snowed Thursday night and the roads were quite snow covered and slick.
I spent most of my time in the passing lane which was hard packed from some earlier 18 wheeler traffic and was very "impressed" that I was able to comfortably travel between 55-60 miles per hour without a single issue. On a few occasions when I was all alone with no traffic to worry about I actually went to WOT to see how they would grip and to my amazement the truck tracked straight and true without any fish tailing.
I did manage to throw a 1-1/4 oz. wheel weight off of one of the rear wheels on the trip which gave me a little vibration in the seats, but I had them all rebalanced yesterday afternoon after I arrived home and all is well.
I am running 295/70/17's on the stock wheel with 36# of air in them.

Thanx for that info. It is appreciated.
I haven't decided which to go with yet:
Nitto Grapplers
BFG's
Toyo's
Looking for 35x12.5r18's
So far best price I found was $1225 for the Toyo's out the door...
$1252 for the BFG's Mud Terrain t/a km
