Lightbulb Anti-theft Device (ravelco)

I was looking to purchase The Club(anti-theft device) for my truck and was looking into other devices and found this website.

http://www.ravelco.com/

It states that it has never been defeated. Although probably with alot of time and patience it COULD be defeated, especially from the people who install them. Don't know for sure though. I read through some of their articles and it seems like a very interesting device. I have spent about 7000 in accessories and really don't want my vehicle to be stolen so I scheduled an install next week. If anyone has this device already, what has been your experience with it and how good is it??

A determined thief will come along with a rollback, tote your (or my) truck off to wherever and worry about any alarms or theft deterents at his leisure.

I don't if they've been defeated, but I had one for my Ranger and when I bought the F150 my wife convinced me to use it on the new truck.

I have a 05 XL with the plain black steering wheel and after having the Club on it all day I noticed that it left small indents on the wheel from the weight of the Club. The indents went away after a while, but I imagine that if you used it everyday it would leave permanent indents.

I have read that they don't cut the club but thorugh the steering wheel in about 22 seconds. They also sell a device called the club buster for about 100 buck online to anyone. Also where you can use freon to freeze the lock of the club then hit it with a hammer to shatter it..

Also a common theft device is the screw in into the lock slot, then the weighted inertia back weight which pulls the locking device out and the club fails.
