Ok I have a large 100 pound dog that will sometimes get to ride inside the truck.Was wondering if anyone uses any good products that can protect the rear seat of a 2004 scab as I want to reduce wear and tear.Is there any thing out there specifically for the F150 besides a bedrug.I would also like to protect the rear of the front seats.Any help much appreciated!

 

I'd just throw on some seat covers. Wet Okole seems to be the choice here. Do a search and you'll find all kinds of stuff.

 

I have seen some nice idea of rugs for rear seats.. i believe its in F150 Moss catalog. so check it out.

Check out Cabelas. I think they have some seat covers for pets.

 

I got mine from caninecovers.com. They are a little more expensive then some other brands but I also think the quality is a lot better, custom made for each vehicle and designed specifically for dog hair etc. to make them easier to clean up.

I too wanted a pet cover for the rear seat leather, but I couldn't find one in black (until the above post, thanks Matt)

So for a quick inexpensive option my wife made our own. She went to Wally World, bought some black "polar fleece" fabric for 8 dollars or so and some elastic for another dollar or so . She then measured the back seat, cut the fabric and sewed the elastic around the perimter. It slips over and around the edges of the bottom part of the seat and stays in place perfectly. Another advantage with the polar fleece is that is will fold up very small and fits under the smaller rear seat in the area beside the jack. MY puppy is a 100lb + German shepard and always goes with us where ever we go. With daily use and 2 10 hr + round trips it has worked great.

Hey Guys I really appreciate the input I having been trying to figure this one out for while,now have some research to do!

 

I just got one of these:

Deer Creek dog boxes

It keeps the inside of the cab nice and clean. Don't have to worry about the dogs putting holes in the leather either.

 

I prefer to not stick the one family member who is ALWAYS happy to see me, who lifts my spirits when they are feeling down, and never asks much of me other then the same meal for breakfast and dinner every day and a cookie every now and then in a box. Just my preference.

 

I've been using a dog mat that is pretty soft to cover the back seat in my truck. I added a couple caribeaners that hook onto the carseat connectors in the back to keep it in place.

Being a dog lover and a K9 military police officer with a 120 lb, german shepherd (Larz, love that dog to death, he's my 3rd son), 70 lb Golden retriever (Bodhi) and just recently lost my K9 (ret) partner Queen (12 yr old german shepherd) to cancer. I really appreciate your post. I've seen cheaper versions of this at pet stores and in pet catalogs, but this cover is by far the best quality I've seen. I'm still reluctant to get one though, just because the size of my dogs (they don't have enough room in the back seat together) and we go to the beach alot, so they get real messy with the sand and water. Thanks for the great info.

 

I really like the caninecovers a lot, but I hunt with my dogs and need room for other people in the cab too, hence my box. I had considered this hammock type of cover because it helps to cover the backs of the front seats.


I haven't seen these in person, so I can't really comment on the durability of the cover, but I did think they were a pretty good idea.
