The first rule of thumb that was overlooked: If the guy next you is wanting a race, there's a good chance he's got something under the hood to accomplish the task. Sorry you fell for the sleeper appearance; I guess that's a lot better than something that looks like it can do the 1/4 in 8 secs and once you open the hood you realize it's a stock motor.

KickassFX4, I go to West Valley. I graduated class of 2004. I think I know a few guys in your class. Josiah, Oakridge is off the Santa Teresa exit on 85. My girlfriend works at the candle shop in there. Crappy mall huh?

Yeah, I'm always driving around,If I'm not at work. I usually hangout at the starbucks on Blossom Hill and Santa Teresa. Thats sounds like a good idea,we all should meet up.

 

Can someone explain the whole "stacking" thing to me? I've never heard of it. I always thought that a chip or tuner did the same thing. What is the benefit of using both? Thanks!

 

Added power. With some tuning products you can use a tuner and get for ex. (95hp and then add a chip for another 65hp.) I would think one would over-ride the other though, but who knows. I guess some are designed to work like this. I think Banks has a stacked setup.

 

hah, my buddy's cousin (female) works there too (at the mall somewhere), I was in Fremont at the time and he needed to see her so I took him there. We had a hell of a time finding it. Anyways, the mall ain't that bad, I was looking for the Great Mall but couldn't find it. What's that mall like?

 

I'm assuming those are diesel gains, definitely not gas. As for that San Jose meetup, I'll commute if we all plan something, maybe go trail riding up there or take a trip to the track, maybe even out to eat just to talk trucks.
