Question Truck binding and shaking on take off?

I thought this was the shudder on take off problem some people have but the more I search it seems that is not my problem.
Today I was at a stop waiting to turn right on a main road. When i took off the truck was shaking pretty bad and continued to shake while going down the road. I gave it more gas but it didn't really want to move. I was wondering if it was the fail safe mode that only runs on a few cylinders but that is only supposed to happen during overheating. My check engine light was also blinking. I pulled over and the CEL stopped blinking and turned off so I started on my way and the truck was fine. Later on once I got home I hooked up my scanner and it said there were no DTCs. Does anyone have a clue? I'd take it in but it's running fine now and there is no code so I am not sure what they could do. Thanks.

It could possibly be the E-Brake hanging up. Do a search here and you will find a bunch of info on it. Something in the brake mechanism was hanging up causing the brakes to lock and make the truck shake like mad. Then it would just go away once you stopped. Sounds like it might be worth looking at.

what about the CEL blinking? Would those issues cause it to throw a code? It's weird the light just stopped blinking. This truck has been in the shop for various problems more often than I have had it in my possesion. It is my first Ford and it's not making a good impression so far.

It might be a combination of that but Im really doubting it Brew.

I think your truck might of been stalling but kept itself from stalling out completely.

Thanks for the ideas. After thinking about it a better way to describe it is if you were to press on the gas with your right foot while pumping the brake with your left foot, that is what it felt like. Maybe it is something to do with the brakes. I didn't have the e-brake on when I left the house though. The truck also only has 3700 miles on it so I wouldn't think any part of the brake assmebly would be corroded.
