Rear Window Defrost

Like a dummy when I ordered my truck I didn't order the rear window defrost. Being in Colorado I should have known better! With the tonno on and if there is snow on it or on the roof it all packs against the rear window at highway speed.
If I buy the rear window with the defrost strips in it are there already wires behind the rear seat that I can plug it into? I already have the heated mirrors that come on when I hit the defrost button.

I didn't even know it was an option. Is it tied in with the heated mirrors button? Are there supposed to be lines in the rear glass like normal rear defrosts have?

Yes it's supposed to be tied in with the mirrors button, one day this spring gonna tear out that rear panel and see if theres any wires leading to it. Dealer couldn't tell mr crap about it except that its $850 for rear defrost glass.

Just checked that price online, it was $607.oo from fordpartsonline.com!

I want to upgrade to power folding mirrors (they come with heated glass and turn signals) the heated glass operates with the rear defrost so I might as well add it....it's only another $607!!!!

The rear window defroster was only an option if you did not get the slider. Manual or Power rear slider made it unavailable when ordering.

The rear defrost button turns on the mirror heaters and the rear defrost.
