Question Fleetside = ?

Guys, this may seem dumb but Ive heard so many terms to describe the box styles, Im confused.

Styleside, fleet side, california-style, flareside... Which one is which?

Thanks...

As a reference, I have a SCrew, which means I have what, a fleetside?

Fleetside is flat rear fenders. Best to think of styleside as stepside.

Fleetside=Regular bed
flareside=step side bed. it is narrower than the reg. bed & has steps on it to
get into the back.
california-stlye=?
styleside=regular bed (i think ?)

Yes you have a fleetside because Screws only come in a 5.5 foot bed no stepside for them. I think you could get the option starting in 04 for a 6.5 foot bed. I know you could in 05.

The 6.5 foot bed on the SCREW is new option for 06 and I don't believe they have actually shipped to dealers as of yet.

Ford doesn't use the term fleetside. I don't know if other besides GM use it.

Styleside is to normal, most common box side.

Flafeside is the stepside box.

styleside = regular bed style (long or short)
flareside = stepside bed

fleetside I think is a GM designation for the regular bed, i have heard people refer to regular truck beds as fleetsides, even for ford, but its not an official thing

i have never heard of the california-style bed, no idea...
