etrivino103186: I needed some switches but I did'nt want to cut up the dash, so I went to Radio Shack and purchased a 4x6 project box to mount the switches in. Then I made a mounting bracket and attached it to another accessory that was already under the dash. Heres a link to a photo of the SWITCHES. The face lights up with a green tint when the park or headlights are on, and the white horizontal bar glows red when the switch is on.

The photo you are seeing is the lower dash panel of my 2000 F250 PowerStroke Diesel. The box on the right is the Ford APCM (commonly called an AIC, automatic Idle Control) It is intended to be used on ambulances, fire trucks, tow trucks, or any other application (with a PowerStroke diesel) that might require the engine speed to be increased while the vehicle is stationary. When you hit the charge protect button, the engine RPM will increase to whatever RPM necessary to maintain 14.x volts (good option for lots of emergency lighting) The PTO button would be used for a tow truck when they are winching. The RPM button is used to maintain a constant preset engine speed, usually 1200 rpm. (I use that button to keep the AC functioning better when sitting in a parking lot etc.) I really have no real need for the AIC, but it is a cool toy to have.

Speaking of switches...anyone know if the lighter and reverse sensor switch can be reversed? I haven't hadd time to dig into my dash to take a look, but it sure would be nice to move the lighter over to the otherside. It would be more convenient for my sat radio.

Regards!
