Pro Comp 17x8 Wheels on 2005

Called discount tire today to see about my wheels. I was told that the pro comp 6089 wheels have problems clearing the brake calipers. Does anyone on here run pro comp 17x8 wheels on the 4x4 05?

I was told the same thing about not being able to clear the calipers so I jumped up to the 18x9 and I'm so glad I did cause in my opinion they look better.

There has been other talk on this issue. I believe the '05 calipers are a different design, leading to clearance problems that the '04's didn't have. You may need to upgrade to 18" wheels. Good luck...

Right, Ford changed the calipers sometime during the 05 model year.
