Rancho RS9000 shocks

I'm trying to put together my christmas wish list and it looks like the main thing will be doing something to level my truck (2004 Reg. Cab FX4). Originally I was trying to decided between an autospring kit and the drop shackles. However, I've seen a lot of posts over the last few months about the new RS9000 Rancho shocks with the adjustable collar. I'm starting to like this option the most. I figure I can upgrade my shocks and level my truck a little bit at the same time. I don't mind a little rake so I would probably use go somewhere in the middle of the 0-2.5" on the collar.

I know some people here have purchased and installed these shocks and used the ajustable collar. What is your opinion of the shock so far? Also, is it worth upgrading all 4 shocks or is it okay to just stick to the front for now?

Thanks.

I personally reccomend all 4. The ride and handling is alot better. The shocks on my truck were shot after 20K miles and I could really tell the difference. I set mine at 5.
I'm not sure but the rear suspension seems better on my son's Screw with the heavy payload package, but it may be because it's brand new.

Thanks. I was leaning toward replacing all 4. About how long should these shocks last?

They come with a lifetime warranty. The most I've ever run any of their shocks is about 80K miles and they were still good.

Does anyone have the part number for these shocks? I found some part number on GoRancho.com but it does not say about them being adjustable, Summit has the part number I found for $124 each. Any input would help, I want to do these shocks also.

I did a search on Summit's website for them, part #RS99768, and it came up at $193.39 each. You may want to double check your part number?

The correct part numbers:

Front: RS99767 (0" ride height) or RS99768 (2.5" ride height)
Rear: RS99286

See Rancho Compatibility Chart.

I am getting a bit lost, I thought they were adjustable (collared) from 0-2.5 Maybe the 68's are from 0-2.5 I went to Summit's website also, and am ready to order, but will wait until I get the correct pn. Judging by the price, it looks like the 68's are the adjustable.

I just found this thread

Yes, the 68's are the height adjustible ones. Those are the one's I used. Also, Trukmupper used the same one's.

OK, I just took the plunge. $575.63 for all four from Summit. The front are back ordered until 12/5/05 but not a huge deal

You won't be disappointed! You're going to love the improved handling/ride.

I just ordered a set for my son's Screw thru OReilly's. I ordered them on Thurs. and they Came in on Monday. I'm not sure why it would be any different going thru Summit but if they keep putting you of you may check with OReilly's if you have one in your area.. I paid $103 each plus shipping.
Good luck
