I already got them. BFG Mud Terrains! I love these tires. They are a ton quiter than I thought they would be. Not a mud terrain whine as I go 70 or anything. If it will ever rain again in North Texas, I'll tell you how they do in the mud!

These trucks have been out for well almost 2.5 years and no tire manufacturer has developed a tire for two of the most popluar versions of a truck that sells almost a million units per year. Seems odd to me, but what do I know. I guess I have to choose between the BFG Rugged Trail or go to a 6 ply and get the Wrangler AT-S. Same options I had back in the summer of 2003.
What's the big deal about going up to a 285/18, like the BFG AT ta/ko? They produce them now. I have had three sets of these on my last trucks, and they are exceptional tires. As soon as my 18" Goodyear ATS wear out that's what I will be putting on. I'm just hoping once they do wear out, the price tag on the BFG's will have come down a little. About $1100 now, ouch!

hey supercrewag...im really interested in those bfg muds. Do the 35's have any effect on the truck as to brake rotors or anything? also did have to trim at all? How do they ride? also...with the big tread, does it pick up gravel a lot and get stuck in it?thanks

I have over 40,000 on my BFG AT KO's. I figure at around 60,000 I'll be looking for another set of AT KO's or maybe Nitto Terra Grapplers.

When I left Mikes Shop yesterday morning I pulled onto the freeway and set the cruise on 75 mph and never took it off except to top off the tank in Beckley WVa. on the 335 mile trip home, and to my disbelief the Nittos were very, very quiet at that speed and handled great in the rain.. (it was the first trip with them)

How much are you asking for the tires?

I was advised by the tire dealer that the stock rims are too narrow and as a result they would wear early. Same for the Toyo A/T. A Toyo rep even advised against it. I think the stock rim is 8" and recommended min for those tires is 8.5"? At least the Toyo is, not sure about the BFG. I've never ehard too many great things about the BFG AT KO. Noisy, don't last that long etc. But I must admit they look grrrrreat.

Are you sure your talking about the same tire? The BFG A/T is NOT noisy and they are one of the longest lasting ATs, if not THE longest lasting AT. By the way, stock wheels are actually only 7.5" wide.

Revo's ,terra grapplers or BFG those seem to be the popular ones. NOT the ONLY ones, just due to price, look and function.

Absolutely correct! Long lasting, no hum or loud noise at all. Like I said I've had 3 sets. My last set was on my Chevy 1500HD with 6.5" rim width. They were 285/75-16. No problems with wear or balancing. I'm grateful to have an extra inch now. That’s just what I did, good luck with your decision.

Well compared to the Dueler A/T the BFG A/T is louder. My bud and I both used to own 98 F-150's mine with Dueler, his with BFG and trust me the BFG is louder, but to be fair the BFG is far more aggresive. SO it only makes sense that it should be louder. I'm not saying its too loud, just louder than the less aggressive Dueler. Has anyone put the Toyo on teh stock 18" rim. Cause if that would work, I think that tire is as close as I can get to the Dueler. Now if I can jsut win the lottery to pay for them...

He's had them on two previous trucks (Dodge Ram 2500 QaudCab 4WD & Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4WD) and absolutely swears by them under EVERY road/driving conditions. So much so that he's convinced me to buy a pair .. .. .. except, I'm lead to believe, they don't make sizes for 18inch rims!

Oh, and BTW, he owned a tire/exhaust shop in Ohio for 12-plus years .. .. .. so I'm guessing he knows his sheet.

I have a set of Yokohama Geolandar A/T on my 98 F150. Im very impresed with these tire's, like someone said they are awesome on wet roads.
I really like the look of the Pirelli Scorpion ATR since they come in 20's with raised white letters.
