Skyjacker 3" and 35's

Alright ever since I finally saw my bros truck with his new wheels and 35" bfgs I want to go bigger. I found an awesome deal on a set of hummer take offs for $400 and my bro can actually pick them up for me so no shipping charge. If all goes well I could resell my 285/70/17 for at least $400 also if not more. There is only right at 1000 miles on them if anyone is interested? (check the classifieds) Anyways, my main question is would these tires fit with some rubbing im sure with a 2wd and the skyjacker 3" kit. I dont think ive seen anyone attempt this combition yet but I know its been done with stock wheels with the leveling kit and my wheels are only 8" wide with i believe 5.5" backspacing. Should I even attempt to go for this deal and possible run them on my 2wd w/ 2" autospring for a while and then get a skyjacker 3" kit not long after and would it be worth it for the $500-600 im predicting?

Is that grey truck in your portfolio, your brothers truck. Does his have a 3" skyjacker. Im sure that is what you said. The reason im asking is because i have this kit at home and im still debating on what size tires to get. Just wondering.

I also have the skyjacker 3" on my 4x2. I'm running 33x12.5 procomps and wouldn't attempt anything bigger. Goodluck.

Yes that grey truck is my brother but he only has the 2" autospring not the 3" skyjacker on his 4x4. If yours is 4x4 Casey would definately go with 35's of some sort. Alright thanks for the input guys. I think I might just wait for him to come down this week for thanksgiving and just put his wheels on my truck for a while to see just how close it is.
