I had to put my truck in the shop for a battery that would not hold a charge (second one). This one had a bad cell in it and they replaced it with a new one. While it was in there they reflashed my PCM as well. I cannot believe the difference. I never thought my truck was suffering from lack of power, but it made a big difference. Touchier throttle, pulls harder and breaks the tires loose easier then ever. It would always break them loose, but that was with the smaller 17's, now it will break these 18" FX4's and larger tires easier.

I have a question, who had the latest PCM program and then bought a Xcal2?? If a simple reflash woke this thing up this much, I may have to buy myself an XCAL2 for Christmas.

 

I brrought my truck in today for a few rattles and to update the PCM. I hope it come out like you described it. Im also thinking about a xcal2. I havent heard anyone with a pcm update and an excal but Im sure it is a great improvement.

my truck was reflashed and the xcal2 scared me to death this programmer is awesome, and i highly recommend it to anyone else. I am considering trading for a diesel, however and I will be switching to a more cost effective programmer (to avoid the CEL upon trade in) so, I have an xCal2 for sale in the classifieds if you all are interested. I would make you one heck of a deal on it!
