06 Grills

I've been away for quite awhile and the other day I noticed some of the new 06 F-150s have a billet looking grill. I was wondering if anyone new the OEM part number and what the cost is for those? I did a search, but didn't come up with what I was looking for.

HD Grill

That might be it. Are the Dealerships putting those on non-Harley Davidson F-150s? The grills I saw were on non-Harley F-150s.

Also, the grills I'm referring to looked like they had more horizontal bars, and they looked closer together then the HD Grills. They actually remind me of the Street Scene Grills, but they were definitely OEM.

I could be going nutts too!

Now that I look at those HD Grilles again, I think you are right, those are probably the same ones. It seems my Dealership is sending out brand new XLTs and STXs with those HD Grilles.

The only reason I was down there looking is because they had an 06 GT in the showroom that I just had to show to my wife!! haha If only I had $150,000!!!! It was Blue with white stripes, and the most beautiful car I have ever seen.

Thanks!!

I agree, they look really good! Did you have to have it painted?

I've seen this grill on non Harley's at the Ford lot.....

They use this with a Ford emblem on some of the 'custom conversion' trucks.

I was at the dealership last Thursday getting my complimentary first oil change on my '05 I bought in august and walked the lot, they had a few XLT's they had the harley grille put on, it looked pretty sharp, but kind of out of place with the regular headlamps and other missing features

they were all black

The dealership where my brother works had one awhile back. They sold it on EBAY to a guy in Houston, TX and he sent his brother to get it and DRIVE it from Little Rock back to Houston. A VERY trustworthy fellow. They are more impressive in person than any TV show can make them look.

Today I swapped the grille assembly of my 2004 XLT to the new 2006 Harley Davidson Billet Grille assembly. The swap was fairly simple and I was surprised at how inexpensive the part was from Ford. It only cost me $154 dollars for the entire assembly, including the factory black grille surround and emblem. All I needed to do was swap my grey surround with the black one. The new grille assembly is also much sturdier than the original one due extra bracing in the middle of the grille.

As an FYI, the guy at the dealer told me that chances are the price of the grille assembly will not stay at this price for long once Ford realizes that people are swapping these out as upgrades. This is what happened when the Lightning came out and everyone was swapping headlight and tailight assemblies. The tailights started at $30 each and once Ford realized the trend the price of the parts went to over $200 each.

Part # is 6L3Z-8200-AAA
