20s or 18s on 35s???

Im gettin a lift on my truck soon and I was wonderin whether to get 18s or 20s on 35s. Im pretty possitive Im not going to go with 37s because of the power loss and rubbing problems but any last comments would be appreciated. thanks

my opinion is either would look good. but there are draw backs to getting the 20's. the biggest thing is money. the 20's will cost considerably more than the 18's. also the cost of the tires for 35 inch tires for 20's is outragous. it cost basicly double per tire for the 20's. the next thing is the 20 inch rim is usually alot heavier. costing you some power. I too was considering 20's because the selection of 20 inch rims out there for our trucks is much greater than any of the other sizes. I found several 20 inch rims I liked but I am not willing to spend that kind of money on rims and tires. if money is not an issue and a little power loss is no biggy. I would go the route of the 20's. but I will be going the rout of 18's or 17's if I can find some I like that fit.

It's just personal preference. The only advantage I can see is most 20's for your truck seem to have more backspacing, making it easier to get a wheel/tire combo that fits properly and doesn't stick way outside the wheelwells.

If your gonna be offroading then go with 18's. More rubber. Plus their alot cheaper. 20's are nice but i think they are a street tire.

well I guess I will have to disagree with most, because I have 20's with 35's and I love them, plus I probably going to go with 37's soon. If you ever plan on going bigger than 35's get the 20's if not get the 18's they are correct the 18's are cheaper, but the 20's turn heads and look bad ***!!!!

Those should definitely look good on your truck.
FWIW, I'm going with Moto Metal 950s (18x9) and Nitto T/Gs (325/65R18) on Blk FX4 SCAB with 4" Rancho lift.
951s looked a little too much like stock wheels for my taste.
See LIFTED!!!!'s gallery for how the 950s look.

Hey KickassFX4, I want to see your truck when it's done. Cruising around town here I see a lot of black FX4s and I don't know if they are you!
