Grubrunner,
Sick ride. You just happen to have my favorite car. Do you have any more pics.

928gt,
How many 928s do you have. Any pics. I'm a pretty BIG Porsche fan to .

I have a feeling that most components are more effective when welded...
Some, not all.

While we're asking, can I get some subframe connectors and a panhard bar for my 2004 F150?

M V,

I don't want to get too off topic or these guys will run me over with some 37" mudders, but here is 2 quick shots of the red and black ones I have.

If you get bored add ".com" to my user name for more info.

Back to talking about cool truck stuff, I have to deal with the "P" stuff all day!

about the subframe connectors
A panhard bar would actually be a pretty good mod for the street trucks out there.

928gt,
Very nice. I will be adding .com later. I wish I could deal with "P" stuff all day. I wont stray too far off either or I will get run over right behind you.

Sub frame connectors only work on Uni-body cars, not on our trucks.

Panhard bars are links that connect the rear end to the frame to keep the rear end from drifting when cornering. They are either welded or bolted on and they run parallel with the axles, lengths vary.

How to tell if the bar will do any good:

1) Get yourself a nice thin piece of piano wire and stretch it reasonable tight between your strut towers and tie the ends securely.

2) Run a decent lap around your favorite AutoX course.

3) Open up the hood and see if the wire is broken. If it is, you've got some degree of strut tower flex.

4) Install strut tower bar

5) repeat 1 to 3 and see if it did you any good.

On street cars they generally do precisely Johnson; they're nothing but a placebo for addressing the real handling problems with springs, shocks, struts, anti-sway bars and tires.

Thanks.

I lost maybe 40-plus pics after my hardrive crashed a few months back. I foolishly deleted them from my digital camera after downloading them onto my PC. I'm pissed about that because ALL of those were pics of the mods I'd done over the course of 9 tedious months and several thousand $$$.

Sheet happens.

Here are a few taken a few short weeks after I purchased it in July '04. Bone stock.

Dave N,

WOW, from the pic you have kept that one in EXCELLENT Condition.

I bought one of those when they first come out (the NA version, not the TT like yours appears to be), same color too.. Brings back fond memories of the beginning of the "90s"!!
