Rear end thump!

Probably a worn out topic, but I have this on turns. Any ideas guys? The dealer looked at it and said that I would have to leave it so they could take the rear end apart but I just haven't had time to do that. What's the deal? Is this gonna take them 2 weeks to fix or just a day?

Its gonna take 2 weeks to work on and it still won't be fixed!

Sorry, sore subject for me. I had the rear replaced 2 times already and still clunking and banging. But I dont pay too much attention to it anymore, the vibration in my front end keeps my mind occupied enough.

I had the same thing and they lubed the slip yolk per the TSB and it's been good for a few months now.

had this happen with an explorer, Dealer gave me such a run around. One of the mechanics said to grease up the slip yolk and this worked for about 6 mos. I just regreased it when I felt the thump. The dealer acted like nothing was wrong and sent me on my way. gggrrrr sold it and now have the 150. love it
