If you are worried about gas prices you can put the $200-400 towards gas. I would suggest looking into a used unlocked tuner if you just have to have one or think they are cool or whatever.

search for used 1714s

Definately get an Xcalibrator, 1 or 2, there are many places that do the tuning, youll just have to look around and choose. Debates tend to get pretty heated around here concerning the best.

Where in Kentucky are you from?

Oh yeah... I havent gotten my Xcal yet, but its ordered..

I hope its worth the change.

If you live somewhere close to me, we might could meet up and I'd lett you borrow my tuner.. to see if its worth it to you to buy one. Its a SuperChips Max Micro Tuner 1714.

EDIT: Your name is "fordworker" so I assume you work at the ford assembly plant.. So I assume you live in louisville. Then I dont live near you... Get a tuner, you wont be sorry.

I believe that's correct...

And to chime in on topic... you really want a tuner. Trust me.

a "tuner" comes in many forms, but it performs the same function, it alters the factory programming to unleash power that the factory has held back, and to fully capitalize on any mods youve done.

Does a new tune void the warranty?

Talk to your service advisor. But it most likely WILL VOID.
