ok, i guess its been doing it for a while now, but when i firt go out to my truck in the morrning and start her up, she tends to rev high, about 2300 rpms for about a min and then slowly idle back down to regualar idling speed, then later on in the day, it never does it again, just starts right up and goes to normal idleing speed. is this due to the engine being cold in the morning or what.??

 

Mine does exact same thing. Only on very 1st startup of the day.

 

it is normal and will stop soon.

 

Same thing happens to me and the service center told me it didnt happen to them. Mine will do it during the day also if its been sitting for a couple of hours.

 

Mine revs up to about 1800rpm (tops) on a cold start but only stays there for a few seconds (5-6sec maybe) before it starts to come down then it settles in around 1100rpm for approximately 10sec and gradually works it way down to idle (750rpm) * Altogether, maybe a minute total

 

I think it's because of how cold it is when you start it. Mine does it every morning and does it really bad when I leave it outside over night in 30 degree weather.
