Attention MYST or anyone with Homelink MIRROR

MYST - I saw in your gallery that you added the Homelink mirror with auto-dimming. Just checking in to see how it's working for you? Are you pretty satisfied? Also, was the removal of the old mirror & installation of the new one pretty simple and straight-forward? Any complications? And did you have to remove that black box behind/under the OEM mirror (the compass thingie)? Does the compass still work?? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to get an overall feel for it.

LOL, if you plan on going that route, can I buy your setup from you?

Thanks

Absolutely!! I'm just thinking that the Homelink mirror would have a cleaner look. BTW, what color is your interior? Mine's grey.

I'm in f150online rehab right now, they won't let me touch it during the day.

It works absolutely great. It really p-'s me off now to have to manually dim the mirror in my Vette.

I built an adapter for hanging the existing compass module on the new mirror, so my dash compass still works. I ordered the mirror with dim and homelink only. Someone else here ordered the one that includes direction and temperature, and was able to parallel up the compass sensor to drive both the dash and the mirror. That might be even cooler, as the mirror temp sensor could be used for inside temp with the dash readout of outdoor temp.

I say go for it, I love mine.
