electrical circuit breaker???

i put the guage pod back on the dash and rewired using m/f connectors. in my haste i never put electrical tape around any of the connectors. i hit a bump going into work yesterday morning and one of the hot wires came into contact with another wire and shorted out. i had the power coming to the gauge from the #4 wire connecter going to the stereo. no on off function on the stereo, however i could eject cd's and even use the menu key to get the info on the stereo screen.....i took the truck up to my dealer to show them a few things needing looked at from the dealer in ny not getting everything correct from the accident. he said to leave the truck and they would look at it as soon as the techs came back from lunch. that was cool, didn't expect that without an appt. (pays to be on great terms with the shop manager!!LOL). anyway, i thought they said the fuses did not pop but a circuit breaker did??? i looked at all the fuses earlier trying to fix it myself. even took out the radio to see if it had any fuses on it......it is fixed, just don't know what they are talking about. and to make it even nicer, they didn't charge me anything.....i did let them know i shorted it out and they actually tried to see why it happened and couldn't get it to so it......i said jus t get it working, i know why it happened! LOL sorry for the long post.....love having the truck back!
