Lots of good info here. I started this threads with hopes of getting everything fixed. Well, they did honor my warranty...BUT.

My problems were:

Upper tail light leaked into cab
Rough Idle
Knocking sound
Clunk in rear of truck on downshifts and sometimes on upshifts

Well, they fixed the idle by reprogramming my computer and they fixed the leak I had on my tail light.

The knocking sound nor the clunk were fixed. IN fact, they didnt even try to fix it. He told me it was all very common and doing no damage. However, if it gets louder, come back because I still have 16,000 miles left on my warranty. He said there was NOTHING they could do.

They also made me put my stock intake back on before they would even look at it.

Oh well. My symptoms are the same as everybody else. Knocking after it warms up and under 1500RPM. Above that it disappears. But at idle and low RPM it sounds like my engine is about to throw a rod. I hate it. Only thing is there is NO loss in power that I can feel.

Well thats grim because they say I have the latest reflash and I still have a vibration at idle. Anything else cause vibrations at idle in the seats/floorboards/brake pedal??

That sucks that we buy a new truck and have to put up with engine knocking at very low miles and there is nothing they can do about it. The thing that scares me is that this knock will sound much worse at higher miles and Im sure that any sort of knock will adversly affect the engine, I dont give a rats *** what the stealership says. Ive done enough machine work to know that any sort of knock is not normal and is not good. It indicates the there is too much tolerances between the given components, period. Although it may not affect power, it does and will affect the longevity of the engine.

Well I guess I will add that one to the list of things to try to fix...

Take it to someone else....... good info in this post about "what" the cam phaser knock is. In short.... your valvetrain is outta whack, can't be good for the motor.

Also, where was the water in your truck? Mine was leaking in on the passenger side floorboard. And did your truck have a rough idle even when you had your programmer in? Mine has been idling a bit rough but don't want the reflash (not even sure if it's available for mine) because then I have to send my xcal back to Troyer.

The leak came in at the back sliding window from the upper tail light.

I sort of had a rough idle with the programmer. AFter I took it off, it got worse.

I agree, the cam phaser knock is something that CAN be fixed. Everything can be fixed. He told me, "these are just noisy engines". BS !!! But, I still have 16,000 miles and if I have to take it somewhere else, I will.

Good luck getting it fixed. I have 64,000 miles to try to get mine fixed and I can really be a thorn in their side if need be.
