I guess I never realized the dash was different. I assumed you could just add the console like in the 97-03's.

So, how much difference is there in the dashes?

How Cruel!!!!!

I know its not your fault, but I was browsing ebay, and saw a dash up for sale. I thought to myself, "hey, FX4&EXCURSION was doing a swap on f150online.com and I liked how it was going. Maybe I could do this too, and what do you know....here's a dash right here that I can buy and this whole swap thing might just be easier than I thought." So I can feel my heart start to speed up. The prospect of this excellent buy in my head.........then it hit me. This is the one that you took off of yours, and was exactally like mine.

FX4&E, just wondering, did you ever find that gray console connecter on your wiring harness?

Hey FX4, no I haven't found it yet. It's got me concerned. I can't imagine it not being there. After swapping dashboards, I have been looking along the fat harness, but no luck yet. I'm gonna try and look again today.

I'll pull my center cover off today and see if I can confirm which cable bundle it's coming from.

Hello FX4&EXCURSION, I pulled off my center trim panel to see exactly where the console harness is attached to the main harness. Looking at the dash from the driver’s seat there is the large main harness that runs from the driver’s side across the bottom of the dash towards the passenger’s side. Once it crosses behind the ashtray it takes a 90 deg turn upward to run vertical behind the 12-volt power point on the right side of the dash. My console harness comes out just after this 90 deg turn, but before the wires for the heat and air etc. on the center trim panel. The console harness is about (I would guess) 18” long so it will reach the mounting point on the front console mounting bracket. I hope this helps.

FX4, Hey, I rechecked and not luck. I think I'm screwed. No connector whatsoever, nowhere near the bend, before or after. uh oh I am very short of taking my dash out again, to see if it's buried somewhere.

[QUOTE=FX4&EXCURSION]The flow-thru dash is in. A little time consuming but a very simple swap overall. No squeaks, rattles, and everything works. Still need a few parts obviously, i.e. shifter, trim plates, shifter cable, etc. So far so good! Enjoy the pics.

Looks great..

Do you still need the side trim plates that mate the bottom of the console to the dash? I just dropped in the new flow thru in my screw and have decieded not to use the bottom pieces that i ordered. These are brand new from the online parts house. Let me know...

I also have the front bracket.
