Heating Problem Need Help!!

On my dad's 2004 F-150 his heat in his truck is not working properly. The heat workks but is always on low. When you turn the dial for the fan for more heat to come out it doesnt do anything it stays on low. His truck is out of warranty and Im wondering if Ill be able to fix it for him. Its getting cold in Michigan and I really dont want to get raped by the dealership.

How is\was the AC? Did it work right? The reason I ask is that Ford had to replace the "Squirrel Cage" in my dash due to it being cracked. I would assume if his is cracked it may cause an air flow problem.

By the way, I'm just digging here.

also, how is MB? I'm from Dillon, but live in VA now.

If it does it on both cool and warm settings, I would guess it might be the fan control switch, or the fan itself. (If I'm correct, you never hear the RPMs on the fan increase) The last time I had a problem like this it was on my '79 Bronco Ranger, so I'm not sure how much this is worth, but it was my fan control switch then.

Try a new blower motor resistor, 8.83 from Ford.

I used to sell alot of blower motors for exploders/expys. Wouldn't suprise me one bit if the blower motor hasn't gone bad.
