Help Me Choose Exhaust Tips to go with theme of truck...pics included!!!

Ok guys, I'm calling Troyer THIS WEEK and going with the Magnaflow SIDO, but trying to get a 20 or 22 inch muffler instead of the 18inch for noise levels.

Well I'm also stuck between the traditional magnaflow tips and going with the rectangle camaro type. I'm looking for a different look than what everyone else has and want to keep it classy and stay with the luxury feel I have going.

Below are some pics of my truck and then pics I've looked at with both tip types. Let's hear you opinions.

Remember I'm going to do chrome 22inch rims in the spring (thinking about the rims on Sidewinder05's truck but just don't know what kind they are) With no plans to lift or level. So I'm going for more of a street/truck/classy luxury feel.

My truck now:

Rims I'm thinking about getting (for reference when choosing exhaust tips) (do you know what kind of rims they are?):

How my truck will sit on 22's without a lift, level or lower (for reference in picking exhaust tip):

Camaro, make sure you secure them though so they don't hang and are perfectly straight in alignment with you bumper.

Man, I wish I saw those "Camaro style" tips before I put the tips I have on. I have the MagnaFlow tips as pictured above. I really like them, but the Camaro ones are sweet!

Stick with the stock exit and put a 16” by 3 ½” polished stainless, slant cut, rolled edge on. Those duel tip setups never stay exactly straight and lined up, then IMO look iffy.

I have slant cut tips like the ones in the second picture, but those camaro ones look pretty sweet on the F-150.

Well, I guess I do have an opinion... and it's not in favor of the Camaro style. They look 'okay' I guess... I'm more of a traditionalist I suppose.

Haha, but you said....lol. So are you a traditionalist in the sense that you like the regular duals or think I should do the SISO?

Hmm, I guess it'll depend on what Mr. Troyer says later today when I call, or whoever picks up the phone. If they don't sell those tips then I won't go with those tips because it'd be too expensive to add them on.

I think I definitely want to go duals though because I'm not particular excited by the stock location and how it slants down or "hangs" a little bit.

I'm going to try and head to a dealer today or tomorrow and look at a Regency to see these tips in person. This will help to see how these tips look at a profile shot.

Thanks for the info on the rims, I really like them a lot. I think I found my pick for spring.

I'm thinking the ones picture in fact are not the magnaflow camaro style'd exhaust tips because they look bigger. I'll try and email the owner to find out.

Thanks again guys!!!! Keep the opinion and ideas coming! You're all way more creative and have better ideas as a hole then I could come up with by myself.

Go with the Camaro style, or better yet go with custom duals out both sides (Driver and Passenger) behind the rear wheels. Thats what I wanted but decided to go with the bolt on Magnaflow SISO.

The round tips straight out the back are so trashy looking. For some reason I think they look great on some cars but on a pickup or SUV, no way!
Sorry to anyone who has the setup, its just my 2 cents.
To each their own.

I thought about the same thing, putting the camaro tips out each side, but I'm concerned about two things. The amount of wear each tips will see during the winter even though I have mud flaps (crud still gets flung back slightly) and the way it will look from the rear view of the truck. I'd be all over the idea if I could feed them through the rear lower panel, like a cuttout, but that would be a little too expensive of a setup for me.

I didn't mean the Camaro style out the sides, just round tips out each side. (Wow I hate to even type the word Camaro-I hate those cars- lol).
Although, the way you described like a cutout would be pretty sweet.

I know Gibson makes this setup its called the extreme, but it is very quiet (close to stock sound).
You would need to have an exhaust shop custom build it using the muffler of your choice.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of Sidewinder05 or other pictures of these wheels on our truck? I'm looking for more of a profile shot to gage better how they look on the truck. I think I've found my wheel of choice for the spring too.

when i get around to doing my exhaust i'll have two wide oval tips (kinda look like the ford oval but around 6-8" at the widest parts) that exit on each side behind the tire, it looks pretty classy from what i've seen. kinda like a escalade's tip, but on both sides.

Yeah it's wearing on my and now I might consider it again. I just wonder what it would look like from behind. Well when I take my mud flaps off in the summer the tips would get torn up from stuff coming off the wheels.

Where are you getting your tips? They sound huge.
