Cool Leveling kit issues with Towing/Hauling

I know many who use their trucks for towing or hauling regularly would perhaps like a leveling kit; BUT are worried that the rear will sag under load. I would recommend the use of RIDE_RITE AIR SPRINGS to resolve this problem. They are rated for 5000.lbs. Definitely more than the truck can handle as a payload. I have the autospring 2.5" and the ride-rite airsprings. The truck looks great, the springs improved handling characteristics in the rear and also keep the truck level even under load. They were simple to install and needed no welding or cutting(depending where you mount your valves). Simply Bolt on. They cost 235.95 with free shipping and no tax(unless you live in UTAH).

I found this to be a great and fairly inexpensive way of leveling the truck exactly level and adding AIR-SPRINGS to prevent the rake when towing my trailer and car. I hope this helps any and all interested in the mod, OR those who have had a leveling kit and took the spacer off for this reason. I bought them from http://www.suspensionconnection.com...ption/to=r.html

I don't expect everyone to like them or to agree with this as a solution, but would like to inform others who do not want a full lift and an more affordable alternative to still increasing the appearance of their trucks.
Good luck

TX-FX-4,
It sounds like you have a pretty damn good looking truck from your profile! How about some pics of the install.

Does each side air up seperately or does it have a dual air hose?

are you running a compressor, or do you just air them up and leave them?

thanks,

Each side airs up separately to level out loads. so each has their own air hose. I don't run a compressor for them due to the weight and extra material and money, so I use a gas station compressor or my bicycle pump and usually keep them at 35 psi. They really have improved the rear handling and keep the truck level. I will try to post some pics as soon as I get the lights installed in the front, I had a bumper placed and am waiting to finish the work. Thanks.

Thanks for the compliment AUSTINITE, Ironically my truck is identical in color to yours, except the sunroof and sliding window. However; I don't have (even close) the upgrades you have done on your truck. I just have the undercover tonneau, AIRAID intake, reunel bumpers rear and front with warn 9.5ti winch, 2.5" autospring, and ride-rite air bag suspension in rear. I have done all this within the past 10 months and has taken alot of convincing with the Mrs. I hope to get the XCAL-II, and wheel and tire upgrades eventually and perhaps a lift. But with my baby boy in the house and the hospital bills to pay, my BIG TIME spending days will be limited. Your truck is GREAT...... CONGRATS. I will post some picks as soon as I can install the PIAA fog lights on my new bumper. Keep Truckin'.
