Rear height and ride

I have found that my rear suffers a little after loading up, making the handling suffer as well. I have a 1.5 inch autospring in the front which did a nice job of nearly leveling the truck. I did a search and found only a few threads about this, but not much in actual feedback on performance. Has anyone that installed an add-a-leaf or airbag had problems with it down the road. I know that adding a leaf will stiffen it up a little, but the bags can be a little more expensive. I like the idea of bags (adjustable), but I am looking of the Pros and Cons please? Thanks.

That's funny, I don't care where you're from!!
Anyways, Bags work well I have them on a couple of our trucks. Just don't drive around with them dead empty....they die.

Who makes a good add-a-leaf for our trucks? I am thinking about lifting the rear of mine just a hair to give a little forward rake.

You did pretty much set yourself up on that one, but enough with the funny stuff:Skyjacker

The cheapest place to get them is www.summitracing.com I believe. After wheels & tires, that is next for me too. I haul sheet-rock and joint mud sometimes, and It does seem to ride lower in the back for a while even after the load is gone.

Roadmaster active suspension will give you a little rear-end lift and doesn't stiffen up the ride like an add-a-leaf. Its adjustable as well. Very easy to install, and easy to uninstall, if necessary. Check out there website. I have the heavy duty version on the lowest setting and it works great.
