Autospring, Dunlop tires?

I've got an Autospring 2" kit on the way and looking at getting a more aggressive tire. Want to get something that's kind of a moderate mud tire. Nothing drastic and cost is also a factor.
Anyone have experience with Dunlop Radial Mud Rover? Tirerack has them on sale and they look like the tread I'm looking for. They have 265...17, for $122/ea. Might look a little small with the level kit but I can't afford to get bigger ones that run $200 per tire!
Any ideas? Thanks.

I've read a couple of magazine reviews on them. Basically they said they were quiet for a mud terrian on the highway but didn't work very well in the mud.

I had a set of the less aggressive Radial Rovers on my Ranger when Consumer Reports rated them as a good value. I recall they lasted for quite a few miles but I replaced the with BFG ATKOs when they wore out because they were not very good in the rain.

I had a set of Dunlop SPs on a Porsche 914 once. They were affordable but could never handle like the Michelins I replaced them with... doesn't really answer your question does it?

I think Dunlops in general are a good value. For me they lasted but never really performed. I second the opinion already expressed.

Mine lasted for quite a while, but I live in CO. I would not recommend them for any snow or wet roads, but never got a chance to see what happened in the mud. Great tread life on dry pavement.

I have autospring 2'' lift with Dunlop RXVT and love the way they ride and handle in rain.I have 275/70/17 which is about 32 1/2 ''and love the tread design. I agree with being kinda cheap , I paid about $ 620.00 shipped to my house . Look at my pics and see if you like them.

I have 4 - BFG Rugged Trail 285/70/17's with only 5000 miles on them that you can have for $400.00. I chose to go with the Nitto Terra Grapplers in the 295/70/17" because I found 4 of them for a killer price....The BFG's are in excellent condition as I rotate every 2000 miles...

Those tires would look TINY. I would hold onto the level kit and save up money for a larger set of rubbers. You have 17" rims so your prices for tires will be fairly reasonable. Dont waste money and looks because you want it to happen now. Make the smart choice and take your time.
Good luck....

Totally agree with what he said. Why rush you'll still have your truck in the coming months. Today as we speak my truck is getting the Daystar leveling kit installed and my BF Goodrich 285/70/17's are getting installed. Well worth the wait and I can't wait to get off of work to go pick it up.
