Is any steering nibble at highway speeds aceptable?
just got back from the dealer...
took my new 05 screw (700 miles on it) to the dealer to get the roof rattle fixed and mentioned to them there was a slight wobble at hwy speeds...they added foam blocks to the roof and ended up putting 4 new tires on it - the wobble is gone and it rides a hellofvalot smoother too..it had goodyear wrangler at/s' on it and that is what they replaced them with - dealer said that sometimes they just get a bad batch and not everyone who has a 4x4 notices...
Thanks for the reply guys...I"m going to try a rotate and I'll torque all the wheels to spec.
I have been eyeing those Bilsteins for awhile now I may have to give them a shot. All in all this nibble is so much better than that vibration problem I was having. That made Happy Gilmore not so happy. I would drive and watch that bed do a dance in the mirror, and I felt like I was in a masaging chair.
I also did check out tire rack and two things jumped out at me. One was that the general tires are only $70 each so that right there explains alot. Second was that is the only tire available in that size, which is pretty interesting.

I have 305/55/20 TOYO Open Country's. Never had the nibble until I put these on. It seems change for the worse or the better every time I rotate and balance.(road force) Not acceptable to me. Do a search on nibble and there will be a lot that shows up.
