Took my 04 in last week for rough idle and brake shudder. I think the TSB
for the idle was 05-10-12. They flashed the PCM and ordered new motor
mounts as part of the TSB. My question is, the new number for the PCM
is now 4L3A-12A650-GBU, is this correct, or should it start with 5L3A ?

Your truck will take a 4U7Z/12A650/GPA part #, I have know idea where they came up with the GBU sufix don't let them order that one. If they question you tell them to look at HVBOM, the number is right there in black and white.

I'm going back Friday to have the motor mounts installed and will talk to the
tech then.
4U7Z-GPA is what a replacement PCM upgrades to, his original module should be a 4L3Z-ADE. VBOM part number upgrades and calibration part number upgrades from PDS or WDS are not interchangable. VBOM is used just to reference what parts the truck was built with, and what to order as a replacement, not what to reprogram the PCM with. Those numbers only come from PDS or WDS. Latest calibration varies per the truck and PCM, but 4*** is correct for an '04 model truck. Latest for mine is 4U7A-GPA.

I'm not a tech but here's a link to check on your own pcm for latest updates. 04 and 05's are different and they may also not be the same for all 04 or 05 pcm models. Instructions on the link are pretty straight forward for lookups, heck even I figured it out....
