Amazing Thing Happened Today At The Dealer

An amazing thing happened today at the dealer. They were able to verify all three concerns I went in with and supposedly have taken care of them all without giving me any cr@p.

1. Drivers side window switch not illuminating ~ Had to order new switch.
2. Hard downshift at approximately 50mph w/ AC running ~ Lubed slip yoke
3. Headliner rattling like crazy ~ Added the foam inserts

Hopefully all is now well. But we'll see.

Not all trips to the dealer are that painful.

Hey guister

I went into dealship to have my axle seal repaired and mentioned that my driverside switches didnt light up and after checking they replaced all 4 doors. They claim other doors were half way out...????? Anyways everything is fine now. Apparently, Ford updated those switches (lot of problems on them with lights going out)

That seems to be a common problem. Mine quit too. I called the dealer & they ordered the new part for me. A few days later I pushed the PW button and slid my finger off so the switch would sort of snap back to the neutral position. Dang light came back on. I felt a bit silly taking it in for the new switch, but they put it in anyway. Took them about 5 minutes.

My switch was actually kind of dim from day one. I didn't really think anything of it. Thought it was done for a reason because it was the driver's window. But then it went out. All the others are bright as can be. Hopefully it's just this one.

04NickySP2,

Lately my trips to the dealer have been, not necessarily painful, but more of a pain in the a$$.

While on the subject of lighted switches.....is the power mirror switch lighted? Last night I noticed mine wasn't, but maybe it never has been. This is the first time I've been out in the dark with it since the dealer replaced teh PW switch last Monday.

Mine do this too. I need to make an appt with my dealer. Is there a tech bulletin or tsb I can refer them to for the switch lights?

Thanks
Don04.

I personally am not aware of any TSBs, but someone else might be.
