How about a picture from a distance, to see the entire truck with them.

What's the width on those? It would be on the sticker in the doorjam. TIA

thanks,

I did want to see them like....on the truck, like a full side view.

Chuck

I think for an extra $895 they are a good deal.

Even if I sell them later and get something else, I'll get my money
out of them.

I saw them at the state fair. I wasn't really impressed.

Speaking of tires...I don't really know much about upgrading size becuase I've always gotten the same size tires when they've worn.

But I have factory 18" on my FX4. If I wanted 19" or 20" that would require new wheels too, right? Certain wheels don't take a few different sizes do they?

You have 18" diameter rims. The stock tire is approx. 32" tall. You can upgrade the tire size and tires would be taller. However, the tire width gets bigger too, and you can't go too wide on the stock rim.

You can learn/read alot about tires, sizing, etc. on the tirerack.com website.

Thanks. If you get bigger tires, does that also mess up your speedometer? Does it need to be recalibrated or something?

Yes. You can take it to the dealership or buy a aftermarket programmer.

I just did the math.

A 275/65/18 is 32.07 inches tall
A 275/55/20 is 31.9 inches tall

Your speedometer would only be .006 off if you went with that size tire for 20's.

If you go with a 305/55/20 would be 33.64 inches tall. So your speedometer would be off by 5%.

I was not very impressed with the new 20's either. To me they just look like juiced up XLT rims.

Well, discount tire told me that upping from a 255 70 r16 to a 275 55 r20 would not need a speedo recalibration. Were they pulling my leg? Sounds like they were. They told me that I was changing within less than 15% so my speedo should not be off.

If I DID want to check it and took it to the dealership, how much would they charge for something like that?
