Heater / defrost controls

Has anyone had a problem with selecting where the heater air flow is directed to? I have the climate control setup with my Lariat and just today, no mater what I select, it blows out the front vents. Can't get flow to the defrost the front windshield. Guess it's back to the dealer. Thanks

Yup dealer. Several have problems with the blend doors, usually junk or something from the factory getting in the way. Yours sounds more vacuum related. Please post back after you get it fixed.

Took it to the dealer and they called the hot line. Apparently there is an actuator rod that has been causing the problems with the blend doors. Ford has made a new part to solve the problem so they are ordering it for my truck. In the mean time they did something to at least give me defrost setting. The service rep did say something that it had to do with the blend door position that allows heat to flow to the back. Beats me how it all works electronically. I still like the old manual controls as they eliminated any guessing. I will try to get more info when the new part is installed, and post it here.
