Exclamation Lowered GroundForce 2-5, Rear Shocks??

Hey guys.

I dropped my Supercrew with the Groundforce 9933 lowering kit that did 2 inches in the front, and 5 inches in the back with the flip-kit. I added in some performance strut bars and Bilstein shocks in the front and I am very pleased how the front handles/rides.

However, the back end is a different story. It bottoms out on very small bumps and it's driving me nuts. I'm thinking the shocks that groundforce put in the kit are crap, but I was curious as to whether or not I can expect a worthwhile difference if I changed the REAR shocks to bilstein shocks also.

any ideas?

(Also, I noticed the bump stops are probably 3 or more inches long. To me, that seems excessive and maybe makes it bottom out prematurely. Would it be safe to cut them back to an inch and a half or so?)

I am surprised your kit didnt come with new bump stops. You can cut them down or get new ones. You cant go wrong with Bilstein, they makes a great shock. I would swap them, then your suspension will be balanced out.
Hope this helps.
I have a question for yah. Where did you get a strut bar for our trucks?
Thanks

I ordered them through a wholesaler. They found the "only set left" and it had to come all the way from maryland or some crap. They are on back-order. If you want i can check into having him order them for you.

I'm going to cut the bump stops some more...but i don't think that will do it. I basically need more freaking travel.

I was also considering adding helper airbags for the rear, like the Firestone bags. Can those be left filled all the time to help bring the back up a hair? Think they would help?
