Factory HeadUnit Question!

Hey guys.. I have an 04 F150 new style with factory regular cd player. I want to upgrade to factory MP3 player. Would a headunit from an 05 be compatible with an 04? I called a dealer near me and he had no clue, he said that he would hav eto call Ford. Thanks

Matt

they should be compatible, i dont see why not. there are quite a few more features that are included in that head unit... but overall it should work out just fine. check em out on ebay, i've looked too, but i'm just saving my money for an aftermarket with a 6.5" screen in it to fill up that double decker HU space.

Thanks. See I went all aftermarket in my 2000 grand am gt when I had it. and I told myself that I would never spend that much money on a system again. I went with all Alpine system and it was over $1000. so now with this one I am sticking to stock exept I am adding a sub. I just wasnt sure if the AUdiophile cd player would be compatible with the normal setup.. Thanks again

Matt

The audiophile system is not that great but it is better than what you have. Aftermarket is the only way to go for a clean sound.

I would go back to an Alpine unit if you are looking to stay low end and low budget.
