how to get my computer code??

Ok- I have a 2004 F150 that has been reflashed.... but the dealer did not put the new computer code sticker on..... So I have no idea what the new computer code it. I have been to this dealer seevral times and they act completely stupid telling me that they cant tell me, they would have to hook my truck upto the computer to find out, etc....

how can I go about finding out what the new computer code is? There must be some way??!!

Nope, they have to hook it back up (that I know of). I just went through this with mine. Troyer performance needed the reflash part # (for my Xcal2 order) and since the dealer didn't put the sticker under my hood I had to go and let them hook it up again to read the latest part number. Only takes like 5 minutes and DONT let them charge you!

I remember reading in other posts, that the dealer could look it up in OASIS. I don't know if that is true or not. Perhaps someone like Quintin, or Asinatra can verify if this is true..

Nah i dont see anything on my truck in oasis, sometimes the tech notes might include it but its highly unlikely.

Hey Purpony,

What ever happened to your truck after that accident? How's everything look? Also, that tire and rim setup you have, can you run that without a leveling kit?

Thanks,

Duke

Very rarely will you find the latest PCM part number in the technician story. I don't know if you need the actual module number, or the tear tag number. The tear tag number will be on the PCM itself...

I think he needs the P/N (XXXX-12A650-XXX), that's how the code can be cross referenced.

F150 Duke-

Trucks all fixed and back together except for my black headlights... running the factory ones for right now. I ended up dropping my digital camera on the garage floor and broke it so I never got to post new pics-

Everyone else-
Thanks for the replies....

Quintin- The code that I had was the original one 4 digit code that you had circled in red.... but that didnt work. I dont know the new code since its been reflashed. So the only way of getting the code is being hooked up at the dealer? I though the dealer HAD to post the new code on my computer??

Same thing here. Got reflash then ordered Xcal. Called my service advisor and he looked up info and read all the p/n relating to the reflash. Called Anita and she recognized the computer code. Didn't have to go to the dealer.

Hey Purpony,

Do you think it's possible to run your tire and rim setup without a leveling kit? Sorry, I know it's off topic, but I didn't know how else to reach you. I'm looking at getting some rims and tires after winter.

Thanks,

Duke

4jeepers-

when you say service advisor .... do you mean someone at FORD in detroit or do you mean your dealer service advisor/manager?

Duke-

I would say no on my wheel/tire combo with a leveling kit.... but im not 100% sure. I have running boards and even with the leveling kit at full lock my tires really rubbed. I had to cut some of the running board and factory flare off with a dremel. No it JUST clears.... do you have running boards?

Yeah I have the chrome tubular running boards. I also have painted mud flaps which I'll take off in the summer months anyhow. It sounds like these won't be an option for me though since I don't want to do trimming or use Autospring or Daystar until they fix the rubbing issues. I may end up throwing 305/45/22 on there with some 22 inch rims and go for a street look but still have the aggressive stance of a 4x4.

Hey Purpony,
It was the service advisor at the dealership. He looked up my info and found the code (shown as a part number) of the reflash. Did not even have to go to dealership. Lucky I guess. Good luck.
