Great Dealer in Northern IL

Took my truck to Victor Ford in Wauconda, IL

They did a fantastic job! I highly recommend them. Truck was done in 1 1/2 days.

Fixed rotors pulsating (new rotors)
reprogrammed ECM
rotated tires
checked differential
fixed rattling noise from under the truck (said heat sheld was loose and replaced swaybar links)

Had them change the oil and look over the rest of the truck. Truck is back to sounding (or not making sounds) like new.

I did experience the noise that occurs (sounds like grinding) and then dissappears with a clunk/lurch when you slow down to about 10 MPH. But they could find any indications of the problem. This has only been heard twice since I have owned the truck (05 Lariat SCREW 16.8k Miles), thought I had read that it was some sort of vacuum valve/diverter used for the transfer case that had to be replaced.

Man what a difference programming the ECM made. Truck is much more responsive and better milage too. (If I keep my foot out of it) What a difference, it really brought the power out in the big(er) 5.4L. I thought it was kinda mushy before but not any more.

Thanks to all that post here, I wouldn't have known about these problems being common if this forum was not around. What a great resource.

I love this truck,
Matt

OH I forgot to mention I did not even buy my truck from them. I got it from carmax last January.
