Pop and lock power tailgate

I have been trying to install a pop & lock power tailgate lock. Everything has gone in fine but the wiring they suggest does not seem to be correct. Does anyone know the colors for *lock* and *pass and rear unlock*. I am a complete newbie messing with electrical. I bought a wiring probe but have been unable to isolate what I need. By the way I have a 2005 screw lariat if that makes any diff. Thanks

There is a member here who has done this mod and wrote a good write up about it. I think it was "MYST"

Found it...sort of. Using a tester I found a pink w/ black that does lock and a solid hot pink that does unlock. The solid hot pink does unlock on the first and second press of the remote, not just the second like I wanted. The Pop & Lock works great though. Great addition to my Rollbak.

You are looking for a pink with orange stripe to get the passenger/rear door unlock. The orange is DARN HARD to see on the pink, but the wire should be in the cable bundle in the rocker panel on either side.

where exactly are you running your lock/unlock wires to? i have my actuator set up already, but i dont want to start tearing up the factory wires to find them. did you end up having to go into the rear door or is it under the truck? i have a supercrew, so the lock/unlock will run into the rear doors as well. just trying to figure out the easiest way to tap into them.

I picked up mine in the passenger side door sill. Click the picture below and navigate to mods->functional->tailgate lock for more details.

Cheers!
